John Gallagher, OD


Dr. John Gallagher is a residency-trained and board-certified Optometrist in the state of Florida. Dr. Gallagher completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience, and a minor in Chemistry. Following his undergraduate studies, he then went on to earn his doctorate degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Prior to joining Center for Advanced Eyecare, Dr. Gallagher completed his residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Orlando, FL, during which he was elected as chief resident. Upon completing residency, Dr. Gallagher began working with Ophthalmology, where he co-managed patient care closely with surgeons to ensure optimal refractive outcomes, as well as provided extensive medical eyecare to the local community. Dr. Gallagher is trained extensively in ocular disease management, geriatric eyecare, specialty contact lens fittings, traumatic brain injury, and primary eyecare.

Born and raised in Stuart, FL, Dr. Gallagher recently returned home to the Treasure Coast, where he can often be found enjoying the beautiful beaches and waterfront activities the area has to offer.
